Cost-effectiveness module

Showcase the value, in terms of impact on health outcomes and cost, of your product

Central to our platform is the cost-effectiveness module. With this module, you can assess and showcase the value, in terms of impact on health outcomes and cost, of your product within the context of the specific stakeholder that you want to target. At the basis are dynamic simulation models which simulate patients through a selected disease pathway including the diagnostic work-up, treatment and follow-up. A set of input parameters defines the routes of patients and the outcomes that correspond with them. These input parameters can be based on values from literature or can be adjusted to match a specific hospital, region, or country.

How it works:

1

Define the patient pathway

In this step you can select the current used (diagnostic) work-up and how you want to introduce your diagnostic test (e.g. before or after MRI)

2

Set the population and prevalence

Set the characteristics of the population of interest including the prevalence of disease.

3

Define the accuracy of the standard of care and innovation (see an example below)

Set the accuracy of the current diagnostic work-up and the accuracy of your test

4

Set treatments, side effects and costs

Attach consequences to the diagnostic outcomes by defining treatments, costs and health outcomes.

5

Get a detailed report about the product’s cost effectiveness

Example of step 3:

Define the accuracy of your technology

Enter the test accuracy

Results

how innovation compares to the standard of care

In population of 100

Prevented unnecessary biopsies
Found more sick patients

In the next steps we will set treatments, side-effects and costs and run the simulations to calculate impact on quality of life and costs

Assess and showcase the value, in terms of impact on health outcomes and cost, of your product within the context of the specific stakeholder that you want to target.
Calculate various diagnostic parameters including sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV), accuracy, recall, and more.
Estimate and compare the financial implications of adopting new medical innovations over time.
Calculate the environmental impact of your product, including Carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) of your product when compared to the standard of care.
